So, what is TickerTerminal?

TickerTerminal provides website access to decentralized protocols on the Hyperliquid blockchain that enable permissionless ticker launches and fast-paced prediction markets for financial assets.

The platform consists of two core protocols: Launchpad and HyperMarkets.

Launchpad allows users to create and trade tickers on a bonding curve without seeding liquidity on HyperEVM. When a ticker reaches a specified market cap, liquidity from the bonding curve is automatically bridged to HyperCore, initiating the auction process for the ticker.

HyperMarkets enables users to participate in time-bound financial prediction markets built on bonding curves. When markets resolve, participants on the losing side pay participants on the winning side through a parimutuel distribution model, with payouts proportional to each winner's share of the total pool.

Both protocols utilize a bonding curve formula based on Uniswap V2, employing synthetic X and Y reserves to maintain continuous liquidity for tickers and prediction market positions.
