Core Concepts
Binary Markets
Each market represents a Hyperliquid trading pair (e.g., BTC-USD, ETH-USD) with two sides:
Higher 🟢 Bet that price will be higher at resolution
Not Higher 🔴 Bet that price will be lower or equal at resolution
10-Minute Rounds
Markets resolve every 10 minutes
Price at round start vs. price at resolution determines winner
New round starts immediately after resolution
Next round is open for trading after the 5-minute mark of the current round
Virtual Liquidity
Virtual liquidity pools enable:
Instant bet placement without waiting for counterparties
Dynamic odds based on pool imbalance
Capital efficiency through virtual reserves
This mechanism ensures that you can always place a bet immediately, regardless of whether there are other traders on the opposite side.
Treasury Distribution
When a round resolves:
Losing side's funds go to the treasury
Winners split the treasury proportionally to their bet size
Larger bets = larger share of the winnings
Example
If you bet 100 HYPE on Higher and the total winning side bet 1,000 HYPE:
You own 10% of the winning shares (100 ÷ 1,000)
You receive 10% of the total treasury
